Jukambi Courts Precinct Project and Cec Munns Sports Centre Upgrade

Forty years ago, our founding families and clergy dreamt of a school that would deliver a contemporary co-education grounded in traditional values, underpinned by a spirit of excellence.

Our community has rallied together throughout the years to make this possible with many community, academic, performing arts and sport projects initiated.

John Paul College (JPC) continues today to create opportunities and pathways for all students to excel, to inspire our children and to make a difference.

In our Ruby 40th Anniversary year, our dream is to provide a home of excellence for our sporting academies and enhance our sporting curriculum resources, Making a Difference for all students.

Making a Difference

We celebrate Luke van Wijk, a very proud Alumni and former School Captain of the College (Class of 2014). Luke has generously kicked off our Making a Difference fundraising campaign to enable the Jukambi Covered Courts Precinct and Cec Munns Sports Centre Upgrade with a visionary donation of $10,000.

'I remember playing tennis with my brother, Mark van Wijk (Class of 2016) on the Mayflower Tennis Courts and I dream that my kids will create lifelong memories on world-class courts one day’.

Luke’s gift will be acknowledged on one of the benches at our new Jukambi Tennis Courts and he plans to watch his kids playing tennis from the ‘VAN WIJK FAMILY’ bench seat in the near future. He will also join our Giving Day Match Funders as we countdown to our Making a Difference Giving Day on Thursday, 15 September.

On behalf of the John Paul College community of today and tomorrow, we’d like to express our deepest gratitude to Luke. Thank you Luke for making a difference and enabling a vibrant, brighter future for our kids.
